This lighting set up was achieved with ETC Source Four Pars, ETC Source 4 Lekos, fresnels, cyc lights, and a manual spotlight placed both in the audience on a grid and flown backstage. The system was programmed and controlled on an ETC Element light board. This play was written, directed, and designed all by students. I worked as the technical director, lighting designer and assistant artistic director. The goal of this lighting setup was to reflect the solemn atmosphere of the production and absorb the viewer’s attention though dramatic contrast and color.
